Biography

Tim is a senior scientist for virtual reality at the Visual Computing Institute of RWTH Aachen University, Germany, where he is permanently appointed for conducting independent research in the broad area of virtual reality and 3D user interfaces. He received his doctoral degree from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar for his dissertation on the design and evaluation of group navigation techniques in multi-user virtual reality. Since then, his research interests have broadened to include a large variety of topics on effective, efficient, and comfortable user interaction in both single- and multi-user 3D virtual environments.
